Three Florida Atlantic University volleyball players moved from the FAU to the Spanish Academy recently to teach kindergarten and first grade students the skills of the sport. The student-athletes talked with the youngsters during their physical education class and worked with the students on their Spanish.

Cayse Kaveny, Makra Condill and Mindy Szarowicz distributed posters and then worked with the children on their numbers. The charter elementary is only a month old, but the students will be taught all curriculums in English and Spanish.

FAU's volleyball team has won three out of its last four matches and heads to the Uconn Autumn Classic this Friday and Saturday. The team will play Connecticut, Maine and the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
