We just arrived back tonight from Albuquerque, New Mexico and the University of New Mexico Tournament. We finished the weekend with one win and two losses. Our first match on Friday night was against the University of New Mexico Lobos. They were an aggressive team and we ended up losing that match in four. However, for our first official match together our team played really well. Everyone was comfortable on the court. It was a relief to start out the season playing well.

Our first match on Saturday was against San Jose State University. We lost that match in four. We made some simple errors and did not play as aggressively as we should have. It was chalked up to a learning experience. Our last game was against the Grambling University Tigers. We lost our first game to Grambling. We made a lot of attack errors in that game but by game two we were a lot more aggressive and smarter on the court. We ended up winning the last three games to take the match.

So our record now is 1-2. It is awesome to be on a team that is already clicking so well on and off the court. Everyone has great volleyball knowledge and court sense. We head out to Iowa this Wednesday. I will update once we're up there!
