BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will start its third season in the Sun Belt Conference by hosting an Alumni Match on Saturday, August 23 at the FAU Arena.

The Owls return all nine players from last season's squad and added four more players in the offseason. The team now has a blend of youth and experience that will look to surprise many in the SBC as they try to improve on the 2007 season. The event will also start the team's first full season in the renovated FAU Arena. Upgrades to the arena prevented the team from hosting its home matches early last season.

Former Owl players Kelly Paiva, Cayse Kaveny and Iana Andonova will be among those taking part in the match. The match will start at 2 p.m and will also serve as the end of FAU's preseason practice schedule.
