The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team has signed Keliane Paiva, announced head coach Jody Brown.

Paiva will join FAU in the fall of 2003 as a junior transfer from the College of Southern Idaho. The Minas Gerais, Brazil native, is a 5-10 outside hitter who led the team in kills (1178), service aces (99) and digs (455). At CSI she earned All-Region honors and was a two-time AVCA All-American under coach Ben Stroud.

Stoud has guided the Golden Eagles to seven national titles in the past eight years and a record 190 consecutive match wins. Over the past nine years, CSI has lost just 25 matches, while winning 495 for a .952 winning percentage.

"Her national experience and knowing how to win could be key elements in our program regaining the conference title," said head coach Jody Brown. "Her solid attacking will only add to a squad that is returning eight players."
