Florida Atlantic University picked up its second win of the season over Florida International University Tuesday night at Pharmed Arena. The Owls improved to 21-5 with a 3-1 win over the Golden Panthers who fall to 3-21 on the year. Kelly Paiva led FAU with her 15th double-double of the season with 22 kills and 12 digs.

After dropping game one 30-24, FAU took the final three games 30-28, 30-23, 30-24 and finished the match with three kills, three digs and two blocks more than FIU.

Janelle Sarauw and Iana Andonova both finished with 11 kills, while Lindsey Bell led the defense with a match-high 26 kills.

Anna Dmowska and Oksana Zabalueva tallied 14 and 13 kills respectively for the Golden Panthers (3-21). Three players finished with double-digit digs. Lauren Stahoski led the team with 15.

The match was one of two non-conference matches before the team heads to the A-Sun Tournament. The final match of the regular season will be on Saturday at 4 pm when the team hosts Arkansas State. Two seniors, Lindsey Bell and Cayse Kaveny will be honored before the match.

Game times for the A-Sun Tournament have been set. FAU will play the winner of the Jacksonville/UCF game on Friday, November 19 at 4:30 pm. The championship match is set for 1 pm on Saturday. The match will air tape-delayed on The Sunshine Network at 11:00 p.m. ET.
