FAU Pounds Bethune-Cookman 3-0

Sept. 29, 2001

Final Stats

Gracie Heim had her third straight match with double-digit kills (14) and added five blocks as Florida Atlantic University (4-8) beat Bethune-Cookman (6-5) in three straight games (30-19, 30-28, 30-13).

After getting their first win in conference play last night, the Lady Owls were looking to get their 20th straight win against the Wildcats. The offense came alive for FAU as they hit .472 in the first game and over .400 again in game three. Heim contributed to the cause by adding 14 kills and only one error for a .542 average. Ashley Bodily mustered 11 kills and a .321 average.

Danyielle Smith (Seminole, FL) continues to be the serving leader of the team as she had four service aces. She also led the team defensively with seven digs.

FAU will play Central Florida on Tuesday evening in a non-conference match before returning home on Friday for their second A-Sun match against Mercer at 7 pm.
