Florida Atlantic University (3-8, 1-0 A-Sun) opened Atlantic Sun play with 3-1 win over Jacksonville University (0-9, 0-1 A-Sun).

In the four game match, FAU easily dominated the Dolphins as they jumped out to a 2-0 led before the Dolphins won the third game. Final scores were 30-23, 30-27, 28-30, 31-29.

Offensively, the Lady Owls used veterans Gracie Heim (Indian Harbour Beach, FL) and Ashley Bodily (Freemont, CA) to take advantage of the smaller size of the JU team. Ashley Bodily also led the team defensively.

FAU travels to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday for a 1 pm match.
