Florida Atlantic University was defeated by Florida International University, 3-1, Tuesday night in volleyball action in Miami.

FAU, who has played six matches in four days, won the first game 15-13, before dropping the final three game s15-9, 16-14, 15-10.

FAU's Ashley Bodily had a match-high 31 kills while gracie Heim finished with 13 and Lori Lombard 12. Stacey Carlson led the Lady Owls with 22 digs. Lombard had 16, Bodily and Kari Dailey each had 14, while Danyielle Smith added 11 digs.

Adriana Fundora led FIU with 28 kills while teammate Charlyn Ball-Llovera had 22 digs.

FAU will next face Florida, Friday night, at the University of Florida Invitaitonal in Gainesville.
