Final Stats

Florida Atlantic University fell to rival Florida International in Miami, 3-1 (30-21, 30-23, 25-30, 30-24). It was the Golden Panthers (6-3) third straight win in the series over the Lady Owls (2-8).

Ashley Bodily tallied 13 kills through the four games to lead Florida Atlantic

FIU took control of the match with 16 kills the first two games. FAU fought back going up 19-9 in the third game, when the Golden Panthers rallied back to tie it at 22. The Owls then won eight of the next 11 points for the game.

The final game saw the Lady Owls jump out to a quick 4-1 lead. FIU then won eight of the next nine to take back the momentum in route to victory.

FAU will play its first A-Sun match on Friday against Jacksonville University in Jacksonville before travelling to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
