BOCA RATON, FL -- After two decisive victories, the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team has moved into the national rankings, administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. FAU is now ranked no. 75 in the latest weekly ITA poll.

FAU (2-1) is coming off back-to-back victories against Florida Gulf Coast and the University of South Florida. The Lady Owls defeated FGCU 7-0 and then no. 74 USF by a 5-2 count. It's the first time the Lady Owls have been nationally ranked since late last season.

Alena Dvorakova leads FAU with a 2-1 record in dual match play, all at no. 1. Maria Aguirre-Gomez, Tania Rivera, and Krystel Borg are also sporting 2-1 marks.

FAU faces the University of Miami, ranked no. 24, January 31 in Coral Gables.
