Florida Atlantic University began play Friday at the University of Miami Fall Invitational in Coral Gables, FL. The Lady Owls took part in six singles matches as well as two doubles matches in the first of three days of action. The competition also features South Alabama and Florida International.

Alena Dvorakova and Krsytel Borg each recorded victories while the team of Maria Aguirre-Gomez and Dvorakova secured a doubles win.
