TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team participated in the Florida State Invitational the last week of October and walked away with several individual victories.

Elodie Wendling, who played in the Garnet draw, captured a consolation match with a three-set victory over K. Nowicki from Stetson 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

Sophomore Danielle Simone was also victorious playing in the Orange draw. Simone def. A. Schumacher (USF) 6-1, 6-1.

Eve Xanthopoulous made here collegiate tennis debut, playing in the Red draw, with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over J. Ward (BC) 6-3, 6-4 and then captured a 6-0, 6-3 win against A. Green (FAMU).

Simone/Totevska were winners in the Garnet doubles draw with an 8-0 mark against Rye/A. Green (FAMU). While Bartnik/Terol captured their doubles contest against DeMelo/Desmarais (UNF) 8-1 playing in the White doubles draw and advanced with a 8-2 victory over Miladinovic/Gorman (Stet).

The Owls will next play at the University of Miami, November 10-12.
