Women's Tennis Moves on at A-Sun Tournament

Macon, Ga - No. 3 seed Florida Atlantic University eliminated sixth seeded Campbell University from the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, 4-0, on Thursday in the quarterfinals at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center. The Lady Owls didn't drop a set on way to victory. The win catapults FAU (16-5) into the semifinals against UCF.
The Lady Owls dominated the doubles play, with Krystel Borg and Veronika Koksova winning at no. 2, 8-4. Stephanie Beaulieu and Katherine Bartnik teamed up to win the no. 3 match, sealing the doubles point with an 8-1 win.
FAU continued its hot play in the singles, winning at positions. 1, 5, and 6. Alena Dvorakova won at no. 1, 6-1, 6-1, Beaulieu won at no. 5, 6-2, 6-4, and Bartnik won at no. 6, 6-1, 6-0. Dvorakova's win was her 19th consecutive singles victory.
Florida Atlantic advances to face no. 2 seed UCF in the semifinals on Friday at Noon.
