BLACKSBURG, VA - Florida Atlantic University, ranked no. 71 in the nation, closed out its regular season Saturday with a 6-1 loss to no. 11 Virginia Commonwealth University in Blacksburg, VA. The Rams swept the three doubles matches before posting five more wins in singles play. The loss drops FAU to 14-6 on the year.

The Lady Owls' lone point came from Krystel Borg, who defeated Maria Rocio Perez 6-3, 6-0 at no. 6.

Florida Atlantic next takes part in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in Macon, GA. Matches begin April 18 and conclude April 21.
