Women's Tennis Fell to Wisconsin 6-1
April 3, 2007 BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team fell to 7-10 on the season with a 6-1 loss to the University of Wisconsin, on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls dropped each of the doubles matches to go into singles play down 1-0. The singles matches saw FAU play up at seeds three through six. Despite the position switches, the Owls pulled off one victory and had a three-set match at another. FAU's Danielle Simone played no. 5 and defeated Erin Jobe 6-3, 6-4. At no. 4 singles Pia Terol took the first set at 6-1 but dropped the second-set tie breaker at 7-5 and the third set 6-4 for the match. The Owls have two home matches remaining in regular-season action. FAU will first play host to Florida International April 13th at 1 p.m. and will then face USF 1 p.m., April 14th before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
