Florida Atlantic University was defeated by the University of Richmond 5-2 in women's tennis action in Boca Raton. No. 64 Kristen Jordan and Michelle Tulman picked up singles victories for the Lady Owls (0-4).

The Spiders won the doubles point before taking four singles victories to clinch the win. Jordan defeated Richmond's Jeannette Claskey 6-3, 7-5 while Tulman took three sets to dispose of Richmond's Patty Devlin, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

On the doubles side, FAU's lone victory came from the team of Jordan and Jessica Burrow, who defeated Casey Cohen and Devlin, 8-2.

FAU next hosts Boston College Friday at 10:00am.
