MIAMI, FL - Florida Atlantic University was defeated by Florida International University, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in Miami, FL. The loss drops FAU to 1-2 on the season.

FIU took the early 1-0 lead by claiming two of three doubles matches The Golden Panthers won the no. 1 and no.2 matches while FAU's team of Tania Rivera and Krystel Borg picked up a win at no. 3.

In singles play, FIU won three times to clinch the win. Maria Aguirre-Gomez, Karolina Roubickova accounted for the Lady Owls' points. FAU's Alena Dvorakova was leading her match at no. 2 before rain ended the match with FIU leading 4-2.

Florida Atlantic next plays at Barry on Sunday.
