BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team continues to raise eyebrows across the nation. The team maintained its no. 10 ranking in this week's USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25, released Wednesday. In addition, the Lady Owls are ranked at or near the top in several team and individual categories.

FAU is first in the nation in wins, second in winning percentage, and fifth in team ERA. Individually, Nikki Myers leads the nation in wins, is fourth in ERA, and fifth in strikeouts per seven innings. In addition, freshman Candice Freel is tied for ninth in wins.

Florida Atlantic is currently 54-8 and has clinched the no. 1 seed in next month's Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament. With five regular season games remaining, the Lady Owls need four wins to set a new team single-season record.

FAU next hosts Lynn University Thursday night at 7:00pm.
