BOCA RATON, FL - Along with being ranked no. 11 in the nation, Florida Atlantic University's softball team is showing its dominance in many significant team and individual categories.

Through games completed on April 7, FAU leads the nation in wins (44) and is fourth in winning percentage (.863). The Lady Owls are also fifth in ERA (0.70).

Individually, Nikki Myers (25-4) leads the nation in wins. She is sixth in strikeouts per seven inning (10.5) and eighth in ERA (0.70). Along with Myers, freshman Candice Freel is tied for 11th with 19 wins.

Florida Atlantic is currently 44-7 and embarks Wednesday on a four-day, six-game Atlantic Sun Conference road trip that includes doubleheaders against Samford, Jacksonville State, and Belmont. The Lady Owls are currently tied for first place in the A-Sun while seeking their sixth consecutive conference championship.
