Final Stats

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida Atlantic University was defeated by Chattanooga, 6-1, Friday night at the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee, FL. The loss was FAU's second at the double-elimination regional, thereby ending the Lady Owls' season at 62-13.

FAU took a 1-0 lead in the second on a run-scoring double by Candice Freel. Chattanooga came back to take a 2-1 lead on a two-run single by Jill Crawford in the third. The Lady Mocs broke the game open in the sixth with four runs on seven hits to lead 6-1.

Freel (26-6) suffered the loss for FAU, allowing six runs on nine hits with five strikeouts and three walks.

Chattanooga outhit FAU 11-8. Nikki Myers had two hits in her final game with the Lady Owls.
