BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team was swept by Louisiana-Lafayette in a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Owls fell behind early on in game one and never recovered in a 5-1 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette.

FAU fell behind 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning when the Ragin' Cajuns scored on an Amber Barton wild pitch and an RBI groundout. ULL added two more runs in the fourth inning and another in the fifth on a Holly Tankersley homerun.

ULL won the second game 4-0 behind a no-hitter from Ashley Brignac. The Owls fall to 28-21 on the season and 10-5 in conference play. FAU and ULL will play the finale of the three game series tomorrow. The game will start at 6 p.m. eastern. Live stats and play-by-play of the game will be available at fausports.com.
