FAU Softball Named Special Olympics Volunteer Group of the Year
The Florida Atlantic University softball team was recently named Palm Beach County's "Volunteer Group of the Year" by the Special Olympics. The award will be given at the Special Olympics of Palm Beach's annual appreciation banquet on Saturday, November 14 at the Special Olympics of Palm Beach County headquarters, 2728 Lake Worth Road, in Lake Worth.

Heather Gelbard comes to FAU from Barry University.

FAU Names Heather Gelbard Assistant Softball Coach
Florida Atlantic University Head Softball Coach Joan Joyce has named Heather Gelbard as an assistant coach. Gelbard comes to FAU after serving as an assistant coach at Barry University for two years. While at Barry, Gelbard worked primarily with the hitters and infielders.
