BOCA RATON, FL - Susanna Lehtinen was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for her efforts during Florida Atlantic University's two victories last week. The senior forward registered four points in shutout victories over Toledo and USF.

The Espoo, Finland native added to her program-best assist total, picking up her 32nd and 33rd career helpers against the Rockets. She set up both goals in a 2-0 Owl victory, delivering sharp passes that led to both markers. Lehtinen now has more than twice as many assists than any other player in FAU history.

"Whether she scores game-winning goals or sets up two goals, she doesn't mind as long as the team is successful," said Head Coach Brian Dooley. "It's a great honor, one she's had a few times, and hopefully she'll have a few more opportunities this season."

Lehtinen scored her eighth-career game-winning goal against USF in the 87th minute of a scoreless tie to give FAU a 1-0 win. The strike gave her 19 tallies for her career, tied for eighth all-time. Lehtinen is already FAU's career points leader with 71 and has taken the most shots in FAU history with 155.
