BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University Owls women's soccer team wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule with road matches at Stetson University on Friday, September 19 at 7 p.m. and at the University of South Florida on Sunday, September 21 at 1 p.m.

FAU (1-3-0), in search of its ninth-consecutive winning season, finished the 2007 season 9-7-2 overall and 6-4-1 in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC).

Playing without 2007 SBC "Newcomer of the Year" Jannica Tjeder, who has missed the last two matches due to injury, FAU dropped a 2-0 decision at No. 19-ranked University of Miami on Sunday, August 31 and were edged at home by Eastern Michigan University with a score of 2-1 on Sunday, September 14.

"We've had the lead or been tied at halftime of every game," said Brian Dooley, FAU women's soccer head coach. "It is a matter of putting together a second half that can allow us to finish. If we can do that, we can get two wins this weekend."

The Owls are 14-7 all-time against Stetson, playing annually from 1993-2006 when both programs were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

BIG EAST member South Florida (3-1-2) played Stetson to a 1-1 draw Thursday, September 11 in Tampa. FAU defeated the Bulls 1-0 last season in Boca Raton, but have never lost to FAU at home and hold a 6-5-1 all-time series edge over the Owls.

The next chance to watch FAU at FAU Field on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road, is Friday, September 26 against SBC rival Western Kentucky University.
