Trina Maso de Moya scores first Professional Point and Earns/Start
July 10, 2003 Boca Raton - Trina Maso de Moya, Florida Atlantic University's first player to make a Women's United Soccer Association roster scored her first point for the Philadelphia Charge, July 5. Maso de Moya was inserted into the game with Philadelphia trailing 0-1, due to an injury to the Charges primary striker. Just a few minutes after the injured player was removed from the field, San Diego made a long run toward the Charge goal. Philadelphia's Melissa Moore made a save and punted the ball to the other end.
Maso de Moya gathered the ball and passed it to Stacey Tullock who scored and tied the game.
Philadelphia, which has suffered through various injuries this season, is 3-7-4. Maso de Moya has seen action in seven matches with one start, the team's last match played at Washington.
