Women's Soccer Finishes Successful Spring Season

April 15, 2002

The women's soccer team concluded their Spring season with a 5-0-2 record. Wins against the University of Miami, UCF and ties with Florida State and South Florida highlight the most successful Spring season in team history. The defense did not allow a goal as they recorded seven shutouts in seven matches.

The Lady Owls are preparing for a challenging Fall schedule which includes #6 Texas A&M and NCAA tournament participants Miami and UCF. The Atlantic Sun conference schedule figures to be a tough battle as Campbell and Troy State both received recognition as the most improved teams in the country last season.

FAU will kick off the 2002 season on August 30 when they host their annual tournament. The Lady Owls will play Western Carolina on Friday before taking on Memphis on September 1.
