BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's fourth annual 5v5 Soccer Tournament concluded Sunday evening with 32 teams from all over South Florida being crowned champions. The men and women's soccer fundraising event drew its largest participation ever as 210 different teams participated in 32 different divisions.

Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties were all very well represented once again, but this year saw teams from such locations as the Florida Keys, Martin County, and Naples compete for the first time. The Watches, a team with several former professionals on it, won the men's open division for the third time in four years, while Miami-based Soccer Locker was crowned women's open division champion for the second straight year.

Student Athletes from both the men and women's soccer programs were involved in all facets of the tournament, from cooking hamburgers and hotdogs to registering teams to refereeing over 100 matches in two days.
