![]() Women's soccer team posts 3-2 win over Troy State in A-Sun play

Boca Raton, FL - ,Florida Atlantic women's soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1), with a 3-2 win over Troy State.
FAU opened the scoring at the 4:05 mark of the first half on a goal by sophomore Rhonda Jones. Freshmen Janine Aylward served a corner kick to Jones who converted it for her third goal of the season. Troy State then tied the score at 5:35 on an own goal by FAU.
Junior Lisanne Peart put FAU on top for good with her fifth goal of the season and third in the last two games. Freshmen Kari Kaiser assisted on the goal as Peart scored from inside the six yard box to give FAU a 2-1 lead at halftime.
FAU again opened the scoring in the second half as freshmen Kari Kaiser scored her third goal of the season to build the lead to 3-1. Lisanne Peart assisted on the goal.
Troy State closed the lead to 3-2 on a goal from freshmen Erin Doud. Sophomore Emma Kilduff was credited with an assist on the goal. FAU outshot Troy State for the game 39 - 3.
With the win FAU moves to 10-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Troy State drops to 9-7-0 overall and 4-6-0 in the A-Sun.
FAU will be away for their last two games before playing in the A-Sun Conference Tournament. On Friday, October 26, FAU will travel to Belmont for their last conference match. Game time is at 2pm. FAU will close the regular season at UT-Martin on Sunday, October 28 at noon.
