Oct. 3, 2001

Deland, FL - Florida Atlantic Women's Soccer Team gains second Atlantic-Sun Conference win by beating Stetson 2-0.

In a game that was dominated by FAU, freshman Kari Kaiser scored her first two collegiate goals to pace the Owls. FAU scored a goal in each half and played solid defense, limiting the Hatters to 8 shots for the game. FAU had 19 shots for the game.

Kaiser scored her first goal at the 23:48 mark of the first half with an assist from fellow freshman Brandi Herrmann. Herrmann's assist was her team leading fourth on the season. In the second half Kaiser redirected a pass from freshman Brean Foreman for a 2-0 lead. Foreman's assist was her first collegiate point.

Sophomore goalkeeper Molly Keating made 4 saves in recording her fourth shutout on the season.

"Freshman Kari Kaiser really stepped up for us offensively today," FAU head Coach Brian Dooley said. "I am pleased that we were able to get a result in a conference match. That keeps us right in the thick of things."
