![]() Peart Scores Three Goals in FAU Victory
Sep. 10, 2000 JACKSONVILLE, FL - Despite missing most of the match, Florida Atlantic University Lisanne Peart scored all three FAU goals as the Lady Owls defeated Howard university, 3-1, Sunday afternoon in Jacksonville, FL. Peart's goals came in an 11-minute span late in the second half after FAU had been trailing 1-0. Howard broke a scoreless tie with the match's fist goal with 2:43 left in the first half when Erinn garner scored from five yards out. FAU (4-1) was held scoreless for nearly 75 minutes before Peart entered the contest with 25:23 left. She was held out of the lineup by head coach Brian Dooley because of a sore ankle and was not expected to play. However, just twenty-one seconds after entering, Peart scored her first goal off an assist by Melissa Bobby with 15:02 remaining to tie the match. Then, with 6:40 remaining. Peart put FAU on top 2-1 with her second goal of the match. Peart completed the hat trick with her third goal with 4:05 left in the match and to give her three goals in a 10:57 span. FAU outshot Howard 28-13 while Molly Keating had five saves on the day for the Lady Owls.
The Lady Owls have matched their best start ever. They were also 4-1 to begin the 1995 season.
