Final Stats

Two overtimes were not enough time to determine a winner as the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against the University of North Florida Friday night at the FAU Soccer Stadium.

The Owls stand 1-4-1 on the season and will continue the four-game home stand Sunday afternoon at 11:30 a.m. against Cal Poly.

North Florida broke a scoreless tie early in the second half as Kristin Rhodes scored on a header to the right corner of the net from a cross from right of the attacking box. The goal put the Ospreys ahead 1-0 in the 48th minute.

FAU wouldn't waste much time in answering in the 58th minute as Sun Belt Preseason selection Ashley Mannarino stole a ball from the keeper and scored into the bottom left sector. The goal was the third on the season.

Florida Atlantic recorded 16 shots in the match that included seven shots on goal. The Owls collected eight shots in the second half.

Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Lantes stopped five shots in the match.
