BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University sophomore Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn has been named the Sun Belt Women's Golfer or the month for March. She had two consecutive first-place finishes in her last three golf outings.

"Praewnapa has been playing super golf over the last month," said Head Coach Joan Joyce. "She is shooting a lot more consistently this season and I expect her to have a good conference tournament."

At the Spring Lakes Intercollegiate (3/09-3/10), Phol-Uayporn (70, 73 -143) shot a season low round of 70 and finished the event 1-under par to capture the medalist honors. Her strong play continued at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational (3/22-3/23) where she (75, 71 -146) used a 1-under par effort in the second round to not only give herself medalist honors, but also help provide FAU its first tournament victory of the season. Earlier in the month at the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational (3/05-3/06) Phol-Uayporn (74, 71 -145) used a 1-under par effort in the second round to earn a tie for 3rd place.

The sophomore has placed in the top five during six of her nine tournaments this season. On the season she is averaging a 74.8 scoring average per-round, the lowest score on the squad and fifth best in the Sun Belt conference.
