BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team will head to Ocala to play in the Eastern Kentucky University El Diablo Spring Invitational on Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at the El Diablo Golf Course (5,902 Yardage/PAR 72). The two-round tournament will pit 15 teams from across the country.

In February, FAU finished third at the Jacksonville University Women's Classic, the Owl's only competition so far this spring. Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn took runner-up honors, four strokes out of first place. Elisabetta Bertini (T-15) and Jennifer Norton (T-19) were the Owl's other top 20 finishers.

FAU won the 2008 EKU El Diablo Spring Invitational over Florida Gulf Coast University. Phol-Uayporn won the event while Karine Bolme, Gina Larsen and Kimberly D'Andrea all finished in the top 10. However, the addition of several more teams to this year's tournament will make it more challenging for the Owls to repeat as champions.
