Daytona Beach, FL- The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team finished one stroke behind tournament winner Yale University at the Xavier Invitational. The three day event was held from Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12 at the LPGA International Course (par 72/6065 yards) in Daytona Beach, FL. FAU (303, 301, 299- 903) has finished in the top 10 in both of its tournaments this season.

Out of the 15 teams competing, FAU was the only school that placed three golfers in the top 15 individually. Senior Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn (Bangkok, Thailand/Triamudomsuksa School) finished second, Kimberly D'Andrea (Boca Raton, FL/Pope John Paul II) tied for eighth and junior Karine Bolme (Oslo, Norway/Grefsen H.S.) tied for 12 place. Phol-Uayporn was just three strokes behind winner Therese Nilsson from Lamar University.

FAU women's golf will next play in the 31st Annual Pat Bradley Invitational at Pelican Preserve Golf Club in Fort Myers, FL. The tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.
