Women's Golf Continues Sun Belt Tournament

Orlando, FL - Florida Atlantic University women's golf used a ten stroke improvement on Tuesday at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament to move up the standings to third place out of 11 competitors in Orlando, FL.

FAU (314, 304 -618) shot 16-over par on the second day, but saw themselves move up three spots from Monday. Denver (298, 298 -560) has a commanding 17-stroke lead over second place Florida International University. The Pioneers golfer Stephanie Sherlock (73, 71 -144) used a 1-under par performance on Tuesday to remain the individual medalist candidate.

Kimberly D'Andrea (74, 78 -152) leads the Owls field shooting 8-over par. She is currently in a tie for sixth place. Jennifer Norton (79, 74 -153) used a five stroke improvement over the second round to move into a tie for ninth. Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn (79, 77 -156) had a two stroke improvement on Tuesday at the Par 72, 5,997 yard Eagle Pines Golf Course. She currently has a tie for 21st place. June Bolme (82, 75 -157) shot three-over par in the second round and now is in a tie for 23rd. Gina Larsen (83, 85 -168) rounds out the Owls with a tie for 47th.
 

 

Florida Atlantic will wrap up the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.
