BOCA RATON, FL- The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team completed two rounds of the Suntrust Lady Gator Invite held at Mark Bostick Golf Course (Par 70/ 5,954 Yards) at the University of Florida.

The Owls (324, 326-650) struggled against the nationally-ranked field, ending the day in 16th place. The field includes seven top 50 nationally ranked teams and nine top 50 ranked individuals. Leading the tournament are two teams ranked among the top 15 squads in the nation. Duke University (298, 305 - 603) and the University of Alabama (302, 301-603) are currently tied for first place.

FAU is led by senior Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn (80, 80 -160) and sophomore Elisabetta Bertini (81, 79, 160). The Owls are only a few strokes behind several teams and will have the opportunity to make up ground in the third and final round tomorrow morning. FAU is set for an 8:30 a.m. tee time and live scoring is provided at golfstat.com.
