Women's Golf in 5th Place

MIAMI LAKES, FL - Florida Atlantic University shot a 317 in the second round of the 2002 Ryder Florida Women's Collegiate Championship at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, FL.

Natalia Navarro led FAU in Saturday's round with a three-over par 75. Jessica Polus shot a five-over 77. Polus is tied for third overall while Navarro is tied for seventh.

As a team, the Lady Owls are fifth among the field made up of 13 colleges and universities from the State of Florida.

Florida State is in first place with a 593. Florida is second at 599 while Miami and South Florida are tied for third with 612, nine strokes ahead of the Lady Owls.

The tournament concludes with Sunday's final round.
