Women's Golf Opens Cincinnati Spring Invitational

Crystal River, FL - Florida Atlantic University Sophomore Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn is in a four-way tie for second place after one round of action at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational that began on Friday.

Phol-Uayporn (36, 39 -75) shot 3-over par at the par 72, 6,074 yard Plantation Inn Golf Course. She is one stroke behind current first place competitor Seul Ki Park (36, 38 -74) of the University of Illinois.

June Bolme (40, 38- 78) is tied for 11th after shooting 6-over par at the two-day event. Kimberly D'Andrea (41, 38 -79) and Karine Bolme (41, 38 -79) are both tied for 14th place. Jennifer Norton (38, 45 -83) rounds out the Owl golfers with a tie for 34th.

FAU (311) is in third place out of nine schools. Middle Tennessee State (309) is in first, two strokes ahead of the Owls.

The tournament's final round will be completed on Saturday afternoon.
