Citrus Springs, FL --- Sophomore June Bolme carded in 220 (78-70-72) strokes over three rounds to earn medalist honors at the Lady Herd El Diablo Intercollegiate golf tournament. The Norway native led the tournament with nine birdies to help direct the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team to a second place finish.

Freshman sensation Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn matched Bolme with an even par-72 in the final round to help capture second place with 223 total tallies. On day one of the tournament, the art major posted an opening round 74 and followed up with a 77 in round two.

Kendall Kirby finished in 22nd place by firing off 240 (79-80-81) strokes to claim her best finish of the season.

Sandi MacDougall ended in 31st place with 244 (74-84-86) strokes and Kimberly D'Andrea rounded out the Owls scorecard with 257 (88-85-84) strokes.

As team the Owls triggered 925 (305-311-309) strokes, finishing nine tallies back of the winning Maryland Terrapins.
 

 

FAU will return to the greens on Friday, Mar. 31 at the Ryder Collegiate Championship in Miami, FL.
