Women Golfers Finish First Spring Event Seventh

Orlando, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team ended competition at the UCF Invitational Tuesday, finishing with a two-day team score of 622, good for a seventh place tie in the 15-team field. After shooting a first-day 308, the Lady Owls came back to post a 314 on the final day of the tournament. Jessica Carafiello once again finished among the overall leaders with a two-day score of 152, tying her for 14th place. Anna-Claire Daniels managed a 26th place finish, while June Bolme's team-leading 76 lifted her into a tie for 30th place. Georgia State, the first-place finisher, managed the impressive feet of shooting below 300 as a team on two consecutive days. Florida Southern's Pamela Feggans won the tournament with a two-day total of 141.
