![]() Lady Owls Go for Three Straight Wins

BOCA RATON, FL - Coming off one of its most complete games of the season, Florida Atlantic University will try to extend its winning streak to three games when it hosts Lipscomb University Saturday. The game begins at 7:00pm at FAU Gymnasium as both teams meet for the first time ever. FAU (5-12, 3-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) defeated Belmont, 74-64, Saturday in a game in which it led the entire way. Trineca McCleod led FAU with 16 points while Shontavia Williams added 13. McCleod continues to lead the Lady Owls with 15.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. FAU, which has won three of its past four games, is currently in eighth place in the A-Sun, three games behind Lipscomb, which is tied for second with Belmont and Mercer. Lipscomb enters the game 9-8 overall and 6-3 in the A-Sun. The Bisons have won three straight and four of their last five. Their last outing was a 75-56 victory at UCF on Thursday. Courtney Boynton, the reigning A-Sun Player-of-the-Week, leads the team with 14.9ppg. Katie Beth Pate is averaging 10.7 points and a team-leading 9.2 rebounds.
