Boca Raton, FL - For the third time this month the Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (4-19) (0-11 SBC) will be headed on the road for a two game Sun Belt road swing. They'll be taking on Arkansas State on Wednesday and Troy University on Saturday.

"Its going to be a tough road trip, as Sun Belt road games are always challenging," said Head Coach Chancellor Dugan. "We've got to have mental toughness and play as a team."

Florida Atlantic University's losing streak reached eight games after two losses this past week to Louisiana-Lafayette and Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday. The Owls nearly overcame a 14-point second half deficit against the Trojans, but fell just short 60-57. FAU shot 77.8 percent (14-18) from the free-throw line against UALR, their best mark since they played Akron on November 17.

Demina Anderson scored 12 points and had five rebounds against Arkansas-Little Rock. It was her best shooting day since a 26-point effort against New Orleans on January 3. Mistoria Brown averaged 11 points and 4.5 rebounds over the past week.

With four assists against UALR, Shuteamia Brayboy is third all-time in career assists at FAU with 355. The junior is averaging 4.9 assists-per-game.

Arkansas State (14-8) (7-4 SBC) has lost three of its last four, but still remain in contention for the Sun Belt West crown. Adrianne Davie is one of the conferences top scorers, putting in 20.6 points-per-game and 8.6 rebounds. Rudy Sims provides a spark at the guard spot with 16.2 points-per-game and a 37.9 percent clip from long range. All-time the Indians are 1-0 against FAU, posting a 100-75 win on December 19, 2000.

Troy (11-10) (4-7 SBC) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 52-39 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. They will travel to North Texas on Wednesday before returning home to take on the Owls on Saturday. Four Trojans are averaging at least 33 minutes, with Kylie Morrissy leading the pack with 15.1 points-per-game and 7.6 rebounds. On December 14, 2006 Troy got by FAU 78-63 in Boca Raton. The Owls lead the all-time series 11-6.

Wednesday's game against Arkansas State will begin at 6:35 eastern at the ASU Convocation Center in Jonesboro, AR. On Saturday the Owls will face Troy at 6:15 eastern at Trojan Arena in Troy, AL. Both games can be heard for free on fausports.com.
