Box Score

BOCA RATON, FL --- On Senior Night it was only fitting that Shontavia Williams scored a season-high 26 points and Sharia Young also posted a season-best 11 points to lead Florida Atlantic University to a 74-58 victory over the Campbell Camels on Saturday night at FAU Arena. The Owls (16-9, 15-3 A-Sun) have tied their best conference win total since the 2001-02 season.

"I am so proud of the way these seniors finished their home careers here tonight," head coach Chancellor Dugan said. "They put forth a great effort all season long and have led this club to great success."

The Owls shot 56.7% (17-30) in the first half to build a 39-25 lead at the break. Williams scored 18 of her game-high 26 points in the opening frame to lead the offensive surge. She finished 12-of-16 from the floor and added a team-high six rebounds.

FAU led 31-15 at the 5:29 mark, but the Camels went on a 10-2 run to cut the lead to eight, 33-25, with 2:10 left in the stanza. The Owls bounced back by scoring the final six points of the session to lead by 14.

The Owls held the Camels to 35.7 % (10-28) from the floor and forced Campbell to commit 10 turnovers in the first half.

The Owls continued to build their lead in the second half as Amanda Bulin knocked down a jumper to give FAU a 54-32 lead with 14:08 left in the game. Young buried one of her three triple-hits to give the Owls a 64-44 lead at the 8:58 mark.
