Mollie Kahn is in her first season as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic University after joining the staff in June. She brings six years of coaching and recruiting experience, all in the state of Florida.
Kahn came to FAU from Florida Southern College, where she served as an assistant coach from 2004 to 2006. She oversaw recruiting and worked with FSC's guards.
From 2002 to 2004, Kahn was an assistant coach at Jacksonville University, managing travel, scouting and film exchange. She assisted both backcourt and frontcourt players with skill development.
Her coaching career began at Lynn University, where she was a graduate assistant from 2000 to 2002. In addition to her coaching duties, Kahn served as the team's nutrition specialist and developed its strength and conditioning program.
Kahn played for four seasons at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, where her twin sister, Megan, was a teammate. A captain for three seasons, she was a member of Truman State's 22-9 team that set the school record for wins and reached the finals of the 1999 NCAA Division II Regional.
Kahn graduated summa cum laude from Truman State in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, earning all-conference academic honors every year. She completed her master's degree in Business Administration at Lynn in 2002.
A native of Newton, IA, Kahn graduated from Newton High School in 1996, earning all-conference honors and helping her team to a state tournament appearance in 1994. She also was a three-time state qualifier in swimming.
