JACKSONVILLE, FL - The fall season began today for Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team at the Jacksonville University Invitational where the Owls took on Mercer. FAU's Cristian Paiz and Oscar Plotnik each picked up two singles victories.

Ernest Diaz, Jeremy Perez, and Thiago Cunha also chipped in singles victories for the Owls who played a total 12 singles matches in a pairing against Mercer University. The Bears handled the Owls in the three doubles matches.

FAU continues play on Saturday in a pairing with Jacksonville before taking part in matches against Georgia Southern on Sunday. The format does not count toward dual match results for the teams.
