BOCA RATON, FL - Marc Abdelnour has signed a national letter of intent to attend Florida Atlantic University as a member of the men's tennis team, Head Coach David Komie announced Thursday.

Abdelnour, a native of Syria, earned two ATP points in the past season, and had a strong international junior career. He posted a 55-14 mark in singles and a 36-15 record in doubles, while earning seven ITF singles and 6 ITF doubles titles.

"This signing is a great step forward for our program," said Komie. "I expect him to be an impact player in both singles and doubles. We return all our starters from last season and are adding some great players so I'm really looking forward to next season."

Abdelnour chose FAU over the University of Virginia and several other quality programs.
