Final Stats

The no. 74 Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team won its seventh straight match on Friday afternoon as it defeated St. John's University 6-1. The Owls won all three doubles matches and won the top-four singles matches to improve to 8-2 on the year.

Marc Abdelnour teamed with Eddie Majcher at no. 1 doubles to earn an 8-3 win over Alex Svetlakov and Artem Vlasenko. The no. 2 doubles team of Olivier Sajous and Daniel Vardag also earned an 8-3 win as they defeated Gustavo Loza and Martin Kosut. Lawrence Harradine and Corey Smith went to a tie-breaker with Pavel Cerny and Derek Wallensteen before earning the 8-7 (7-5) win.

In singles play no. 2 Abdelnour and no. 6 Joshua Scholl only needed two sets to earn wins. No. 1 Olivier Sajous won in two sets but needed a 7-5 tiebreaker in the second set to win the match. Corey Smith took a 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 win at no. 3 over Gustavo Loza and Daniel Vardag won at no. 4 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
