Final Stats

Florida Atlantic University's men's tennis team captured its home opener with a 6-0 victory over Atlantic Sun Conference opponent Jacksonville University.

The victory was the first of the year for the Owls and was the first victory for first year head coach David Komie.

The match was originally schedule for 4 p.m., Saturday, but was moved up to Friday due to threat of rain.

Jacksonville traveled with a short squad prompting the coaches to begin the match with singles play. FAU swept the individual action to capture the match.

The Owls are scheduled to be back in action, at Patch Reef Park, 1 p.m. Sunday.
