After enjoying a two-week break, the Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will get back into the pool this weekend for the three-day Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta. Competition starts on Friday, November 20 and continues through Sunday, November 22.

The men's team is coming off its first dual-meet victory of the season against the University of Tampa on October 30. FAU won 10 of the 16 events with sophomore Csaba Pek leading the way with victories in the 100-yard backstroke (in 52.74 seconds) and 400-yard individual medley (4:06.25). Fellow sophomores Mikolaj Czarnecki, Rick Duran and Garret LeMon have had strong starts to the season. LeMon captured the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Male Diver of the Week honors after recording a couple of top-five performances in a triangular meet at Georgia Tech earlier this season.

On the women's side, freshman Eszter Bucz continues to post impressive performances, winning 10 events and setting the freshman school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle event earlier this season. Bucz earned the SBC Female Swimmer of the Week honors following strong outings at Florida State University and Georgia Tech in October.

Sophomore Jonna Nyback had a second-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle and a third place effort in the 100-yard freestyle in the Owls' most recent meet at Florida Gulf Coast University on October 30. Nyback had three event victories in FAU's dual-meet victory at Florida International University, also in October.

Senior Stephanie Goodman was named the SBC Female Diver of the Week following strong performances in the triangular meet against FGCU and the University of Tampa.

FAU will have a lengthy break after this weekend's competition before hosting Northwestern University and Clemson University in a meet on Friday, December 18.
