FAU Faces Adelphi in Final Road Trip of Season

Oct. 25, 2007

BOCA RATON, FL - With just one regular season road game remaining, the Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team controls its own destiny heading into a conference battle with Adelphi on Saturday.

FAU (6-7-1, 3-0-0 ASC) continues to lead the Atlantic Soccer Conference after last weekend's 1-0 win at home over Philadelphia. Junior Liam Ogle earned ASC Player of the Week honors after posting the only goal of the match. The midfielder also scored against seventh-ranked Virginia earlier in the week, pushing his season point total to a team-best 10 (4G, 2A).

Adelphi (2-10-2, 1-2-0 ASC) has lost two straight since claiming their first two victories of the season over Fordham and Philadelphia in back-to-back games. Midfielder Patrick Fiqueiredo leads the conference with 8 goals and 16 points on the year. The junior has scored in four of the team's last five games, including two-goal performances in each of Adelphi's wins.

Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Belson Stadium in Queens, NY. The Owls will then return home for a three-game home stand to close the season.
